Support the Flowering Earth School
Charcapata Village, Peru
In the tiny village of Charcapata, Peru, high in the Andes at 14,000
ft, three days on foot to the nearest town, 72 children and their two
dedicated teachers need your support to continue their education.
In June of 2000, this new school was founded to serve children who otherwise
would have no school. The school teaches both Spanish and native Quechua
language, the ancient customs of the culture, and offers a literacy school
for Mothers and Fathers.
The children tend a beautiful greenhouse which supplements the family
daily diet of potatoes with fresh vegetables, hence their name for the
school, Munay T'ika, Flowering Earth School...more
